One of Topwood’s high security shred trucks was available for the public to take advantage of on Saturday 14th October for our free community shred event held at Morrisons’ Car Park in Wrexham, Ruthin Road. Read on to find out more.
Our community shred event that was held at Morrisons, Ruthin Road, Wrexham on 14th October 2017 was a great success – thanks to all those who attended!
The public were invited to bring their old bank statements, credit card statements, utility bills and other personal documents to be securely destroyed in Topwood’s cross cut shredders (the highest security shredding standard). Topwood joined forces with The Rotary Club of Wrexham Erddig for this event which offered the public the chance to shred their documents for free with donations being collected for Home-Start (a family support charity) in Wrexham and other local charities, which received great support raising nearly £300.
These types of shredding events are very popular in the USA and we are hoping to see an increase in the UK too.
We are currently arranging our next event – once confirmed we will update our website with the information and send out information via our social media accounts.
At our community shred events we encourage you to come on-board our shred trucks to watch your documents being shredded in our mobile industrial shredders. The shredded paper then gets pushed to the back of shred truck and mixed with thousands of other pieces of paper making it impossible for reconstruction. At the end of the day, the paper is taken for to the paper mill to be recycled and made into other useful paper products.
