On-site paper shredding in Wolverhampton
On-site Document Shredding
Topwood’s high security shred trucks come to your premises to shred your files and confidential documents on-site. The paper gets shredded and is then taken away for recycling. All of Topwood’s customers receive an e-receipt straight after the shredding has taken place detailing the quantity shredded, the time it was shredded, the registration of the vehicle that shredded it and the signature from the customer. Customers also receive a certificate of destruction after each visit for the customer’s own records and GDPR compliance.
Our shred trucks can cope with large bulk shreds and can shred up to 3 tonnes of paper in 1 hour that is approximately 200 archive boxes!
If you only have a small amount of shredding that requires collecting and destroying on a regular basis we can provide this service too with our lockable shredding containers (consoles and wheelie bins).
To reduce the risk of a data breach always check to see if your shredding or storage company has the following accreditation;
ISO 27001: 2013
ISO 9001: 2015
BS7858 – Vetted Staff
PD5454: 2012 – Principle standard to which storage services are supplied

Retail is one of the largest employment sectors in the West Midlands and some major retailers have head offices and logistics operations in the region. For example both Poundland and Blakemore (Spar) are based in Wolverhampton. As major employers, retailers have huge amounts of sensitive data including HR records, financial documents and legal papers that need to be disposed of in a GDPR compliant manner. Given its central location the region is the choice for many national and regional distribution centres.
The West Midlands has ten Universities (including the University of Wolverhampton). These universities have become world leading centres of excellence for research and development. To protect their research and the competitive advantage of their industry partners the secure destruction of obsolete data is vital. With GPS tracked vehicles Topwood can control how vehicles are used on college campuses. As with universities schools and colleges must protect the personal data of their students and staff and have a legal responsibility to securely dispose of unwanted data such as confidential contact information and medical forms. This is even more important due to GDPR forming part of the new data protection laws in the UK
Topwood provide a regular mobile shredding service to manufacturers in the Black Country (the region of the West Midlands covering the metropolitan boroughs of Dudley, Sandwell, Walsall and Wolverhampton). Customers range from traditional heritage manufacturing – for example Albion Saddle Makers Co Ltd in Walsall (famous for its leather trade) to the hi tech aerospace, defence, pharmaceuticals and automotive sectors. These technology-based manufacturers tend to cluster on technology parks such as the i54 on the boundary between South Staffordshire and Wolverhampton.
